Hello and Happy Monday, Jameson Fellows!

"Compassion is more than pity. Pity hurts your heart; compassion moves your feet." — Dr. Mardy Grothe

Join us live on Saturday, October 24th for the 2026 Charter for Compassion Gala, The Great Turning: Honoring a Legacy. This is an opportunity for people from across the world to come together in a shared commitment to compassion, justice, healing, and human dignity.

This is more than a Gala. It is a moment to stand together. To affirm what we believe. To invest in a future shaped by compassion.

Distance is no barrier to compassion. Whether you are in Seattle or across the globe, you are warmly invited to join us online for this extraordinary evening honoring the recipients of the 2026 Karen Armstrong Humanitarian Award.

Join in whichever way suits you - watch from your own home, or gather a group and host a Watch Party. There is something powerful about watching, reflecting and celebrating together, whether that means the people in your living room or friends tuning in from their own.

25 Years Later: Never Forget Youth Day of Remembrance

Creating a Giving Culture LV is looking to lead a citywide youth day of remembrance, bringing together local K-12 students across Las Vegas to honor the lives lost, recognize our heroes, and ensure this moment is never forgotten. At the heart of this project will be a powerful, never-forget remembrance wall created by students and filled with messages of gratitude and reflection.

HOW CAN YOU HELP AND GET INVOLVED

We are looking to collect 4x6 cards. Please have the students write 1 or 2 sentences answering “Why is it important to remember 9-11?” or “How can our generation continue to honor those we lost?” Students can also add a drawing, and on the bottom, please write their name and grade.

We are looking to have K through 12 schools do one video with the entire school saying “WE WILL NEVER FORGET “this videos will be put together and played at the event.
